كشفت قطر ، هذا اليوم الأربعاء 9 نونبر 2022 ، عن قرية للمشجعين تضم 6 آلاف “وحدة سكنية” في منطقة معزولة بالقرب من مطاراتها ، وهو عرض للسكن في البقية القليلة المتاحة من فرص الإسكان قبل منافسات كأس العالم المقبلة ، التي تنطلق بعد أيام. وبينما كان الصحفيون يتجولون في هذه الوحدات السكنية ، أثارت رياح الصحراء الرمال في الموقع الذي تبلغ مساحته 3.1 كيلومتر مربع ، ويضم محطة مترو ومحطة للحافلات ومطعما مؤقتًا ومتجرا.
وقال مسؤولون إن المنطقة يمكن أن تستوعب من الناحية النظرية ما يصل إلى 12 ألف شخص إذا تم حجزها بكامل سعتها.
الوحدات السكنية ليست بعيدة عن مواقع الملاعب
ويغطي العشب الأخضر الاصطناعي الممرات بالخارج ، مع مناطق مشتركة مليئة بقاعة كبيرة.

وسيبلغ سعر كل منها نحو 200 دولار في الليلة (270 دولارًا مع الوجبات) خلال فترة البطولة.
وقال عمر الجابر ، المدير التنفيذي لإدارة السكن في اللجنة العليا للمشاريع والإرث ، إن حوالي 60 بالمئة من الغرف محجوزة بالفعل للبطولة.
ستكون هناك غرف أخرى معروضة بسعر 80 دولارًا في الليلة على مسافة أبعد من هذا الموقع بالقرب من مطار الدوحة الدولي ومطار حمد الدولي ، وكلاهما سيشهدان رحلات جوية في جميع ساعات البطولة. وحلقت الطائرات فوق الصحفيين خلال الزيارة لنهار هذا اليوم الاربعاء 9 نونبر 2022.
